LICENSING: 10010 - CCLR s.10(1) - Applicants for licences and licensees must notify a medical health officer immediately of any change in the information provided under section 9.
Observation: During today's inspection it was noted that the space approved as the nap area (as included within the submitted floor plans) has been converted into a bedroom for a family member. The children now nap in a room previously designated as an activity space.
Discussed the DOLSOP - Family Child Care which includes ensuring children have access to at minimum a living room , kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. Two rooms are available for children's use consisting of a main area and 1 additional room.
Reviewed section 15 (3) Separate sleeping area requirements.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure a separate sleeping area is provided to children when providing a care program to any child younger than 36 months such as the model of Family Child Care.

STAFFING: 12040 - CCLR s.19(1)(a) - A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (a) a criminal record check for the person.
Observation: It is noted that the Licensee's CRC has expired.The Licensee was also informed of an additional CRC approaching expiry ( 3 months )
Corrective Action(s): Ensure valid CRC clearance is obtained every 5 years as required by the Criminal Records Review Program.
