211 - Semi critical items not adequately cleaned and disinfected Observation: PREempt CS20 high level disinfectant for disinfecting clippers, nippers, and metal cuticle pushers expired on Nov 1, 2021. Corrective Action(s): In the interim, use a 5000ppm bleach sanitizer solution to disinfect all clippers, nippers, cuticle pushers, and metal foot files. Dilute 1 part bleach to 9 parts water. Operator to immediately purchase a new bottle of PREempt CS20 or equivalent high level disinfectant. Followup inspection February 11, 2022. Violation Score: 20

Routine inspection: Services offered: manicure, pedicure, eyelash tinting, and waxing. Have staff that are on days off to discard any used buffers or files before being off from work. Some used buffers and files observed in drawers and manicure stations. Minor cleaning required at all manicure stations. Dust and other debris accumulations observed. Hand sink provided with liquid soap and paper towels. Washroom hand sink provided with liquid soap and paper towels. Laundry services done offsite. 70% isopropyl alcohol available for use. Bleach available for use. Note: pedicure tubs required intermediate level disinfection after each use if no single use plastic liner is used, dilute 1 part of bleach to 49 parts of water. E.g. 20ml of bleach to 980ml of water. Plastic liners available for the pedicure tubs. Buffers, files, and sanding blocks single use. Wax sticks and strips single use.
