Comments

- This inspection report was completed off-site and a copy emailed to the store manager. The observations/findings of the inspection were reviewed on site with the store manager at time of inspection:
- All coolers (undercounter, milk/cream...etc) 4C or less
- Undercounter freezer was not in use at time of inspection.
- Sliding door ice cream freezer used to store frozen foods -18C
- Tasting counter is approved to prepare samples and portion/reheat ready to eat foods, however, no sampling is taking place at this time due to COVID.
- Hand sinks fully equipped with soap, paper towel, hot and cold running water.
- Warewashing sinks had drain plugs. Reviewed ware washing procedures at time of inspection - no concerns.
- Quat at warewashing sinks 200ppm at source.
- General sanitation satisfactory. No obvious signs of pest activity.
- Operations manager was on site at time of inspection and had questions about expanding the tasting bar area. Ensure floor plans are submitted for any proposed changes and health approval is obtained before making any alterations to the premises.
COVID protocols: COVID safety plan available on site, barriers at POS, floor markers in place, signage at entrance (mask, physical distancing...etc), hand sanitizer available, all staff were masked. Ensure high touch non food contact surfaces are disinfected with an appropriate (Health Canada approved) disinfectant that is effective for the COVID-19 virus and practical for food retail areas (ie. less contact time required per manufacturer instructions is ideal).
