Introduction

A scheduled follow up inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All areas of the facility which were identified in noncomplinace at the Routine inspection were reinspected during today's inspection..
The Covid-19 Risk Screening Tool was completed with the facility manager prior to today's inspection as required by the Fraser Health Authority. Licensing outlined the precautions that would be taken during the inspection.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

Written response received as required and included the steps taken to address the areas of noncompliance. Some photos were included to demonstrate the work that had been completed.
All areas found to be addressed Licensee has created a separate music room on the upper floor which is now inaccessible to children.
Fire extinguisher and first aid certification and CRC's as now updated and current.
A handrail has been added to the upper slope area of the yard , discussed ensuring the end is enclosed as to not become a protrusion at child's level.
Some fence panels are in the process of being replaced and secured. This is noted in an area of the yard where children are escorted by their parents into the day-care.
Please ensure a self monitoring system is established to identify expiry dates in advance, to ensure ongoing compliance with requirements.
At the inspection dated Aug 19, 2020 there were 4 children in the care of the Licensee.
In practicing Covid-19 precautions the inspection report was completed off site with arrangements made for delivery, therefore unsigned.
