Observation: Gap observed under emergency exit door in back warehouse.
Operator aware of issue and will be contacting Orkin to replace.

Observation: 1. *REPEAT* (Since Dec 2022) Build up of food debris observed shelving of following areas:
- produce display,
- bakery shelving,
- general aisle shelving (bulk, produce, rice, lentil, chips, pet)
Operator stated new company contracted for cleaning facility.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure new contractor knows which areas to clean.

Observation: *REPEAT* (Since Dec 2022) Light fixture in walk-in cooler observed to be hanging by two wires. Light still functional and missing shielding.
Operator has informed Sobeys head office maintenance. Awaiting contractors.
Corrective Action(s): Repair unit so lights are covered in food storage area.

Comments

Routine inspection conducted at the food facility and the following observations were made during the inspection:

Temperature:
Temperatures of all refrigeration units meet the regulatory requirements.
Temperatures of display coolers & walk-in cooler was maintained at 4C or less.
Temperatures of freezers was maintained at least -18C.

Sanitation:
3-compartment sink and handwashing stations on site
Staff stated fruit preparation/trimming area is no longer in use.

Storage:
All food items were stored at least 6" off the floor.
All products were either in original packaging or covered inside coolers.
No bulk items were sold on site. Facility received pre-packaged food.
Storage area was well-organized.
Chemicals and cleaners were stored separately.

Pest Management:
Professional pest control company conducts routine checks.
Mechanical traps were present throughout the facility.
