Critical Hazards: There are no critical hazards.
Non-Critical Hazards: Total Number: 1
209 - Food not protected from contamination [s. 12(a)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION):
The F'Real ice cream blender blade is sanitizer after each use, after contact with allergens, or after switching products (smooth vs ice cream) by dipping in Quats sanitizer. Staff are not rinsing the sanitizer off with water, prior to comping into contact with food. This is unsafe as residual sanitizer will contaminate food and patrons could become ill.
Corrective Action(s):
Immediately instruct staff to rinse the sanitizer off the blender blade with clean water, prior to the blade touching a food product. OR, instruct staff to rinse the blender blade after each use and change the whole blade with a clean & sanitized blade every 4 hours. Then clean & sanitize the dirty blender blade so it is ready for use. During the inspection, staff were instructed on the procedural change.

Violation Score: 3

- Exhaust canopy and filters are clean. Professional cleaning was done in October 2023, next service due in April 2024 as per service sticker.

At the end of each day, staff must place the baking sheets in the dishwasher to remove the collected syrup. Place clean and sanitized baking sheets under the shelves before leaving to catch any leaks/drips.
