304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)]
Observation: Severe pest infestation was observed throughout the premises. Rodent droppings were noted throughout facility: storage areas, front retail area, under display food items.
Pest control company (Orkin) already contracted. Inspector contacted technician, was in earlier today to set traps.
Corrective Action(s): Facility to remain closed for cleaning and disinfection until further notice. Ensure all surfaces are cleaned and disinfected with 1000 ppm chlorine residual solution, including floors and stainless steel back storage shelves. Food contact surfaces must be wiped down with clean potable water after disinfection.
Follow instructions from pest control technician. Information on areas where pest and droppings are observed must be provided to the pest control technician. Clean droppings, wash and sanitize areas to monitor for additional pest activity.

Observation: 1. Gap observed below rear door screen. Screen door was opened throughout inspection.
2. Heavily soiled grill connected to propane tank observed in dishpit area.
Corrective Action(s): 1. Keep the back door closed at ALL times when not in use to prevent entry of pests. Install sweeps or other means of barrier to prevent pest access. Follow the recommendations given by the pest control professional.

306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
Observation: 1) Item in storage had visible rodent droppings around the food. Rodent contamination was noted by the walk-in freezer under storage units. Rodent droppings were noted all around the facility, under and ontop of items on shelving.
2) Food was stored on the floor of walk-in freezer, large bag of bread.
3) Packaging material were left unprotected and had visible rodent droppings on them.
Corrective Action(s): 1) Ensure ALL contaminated products are discarded. Thoroughly clean and disinfect the facility including floors, walls, corners, hard to reach areas, surfaces, shelves, and food contact surfaces to ensure adequate sanitation. Facility to remain closed until further notice.

2) Relocate all food that is stored on the floor to shelving at least 6" off the floor. Ensure food is protected from contamination.
