STAFFING: 12070 - CCLR s.19(1)(d) - A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (d) copies of any diplomas, certificates or other evidence of the person's training and skills.
Observation: A substitute employee's file only showed 8 hrs of RA training. The licensee stated that the employee has the full 20 hrs & will obtain a copy of the remaining 12 hrs.
Corrective Action(s): All requirements of CCLR s. 19 must be obtained by employees' 1st day of employment.

Observation: An ordinarily present individual lacks a Ministry of Justice Criminal Records Review Program CRC.
Corrective Action(s): This individual can't be present in the facility during operational hours w/o a valid CRC.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): A child wasn't signed out on yesterday's attendance.
Corrective Action(s): Accurate attendance records are required to aid 1st responders in the event of an emergency, FHA in the event of a complaint investigation, & MCFD for funding purposes.
