Comments

Routine check of hair salon at The Waterford - second floor of building (Care Side - called L1 - or first floor above ground level).
Operates on Fridays by appointment.
Hair Services ONLY - no shaving or razors / no eyelash/brow tinting.
Barbicide is used for combs, brushes, rollers, etc. and bottle is in the chemical storage cupboard with restricted access.
*Clean combs and brushes before disinfecting with barbicide.
Change barbicide as per the directions on the bottle label - operator states that fresh barbicide is made daily (every friday when open) and discarded at the end of the day.
Clippers are used rarely. Disinfectant is stored in hair salon on ground floor. Disinfect clippers after each use.
*** Provide information on expiry date for clippercide disinfectant.
Hospital disinfectant is used on other surfaces (sink, chair, counter, trays, etc.). Always follow directions on the bottle label regarding dilution, contact time, and expiry dates.
All disinfectants to have a DIN number.
Operator advises that the towels are laundered after each use and that they are dried using hot dry cycle. Towels are used under capes. Fresh clean towels available today.
Capes are washed regularly - cape appears clean today.
***Hair washing sink has a vacuum breaker connected to the hose. As discussed, please verify it is not leaking. Air gap also provided (hose is in cradle and not in sink basin).
Hot/cold water provided. Hand soap and paper towels and single use hand towels provided for hand washing.
Cleaning - see above.
