Observation: - Rodent droppings observed in the following areas:
- Under/ between shelves in receiving area
- Area between compacter and wall in recycling area.
- Under/ between shelves in bulk foods storage area
Corrective Action(s): - Remove droppings and thoroughly clean the above noted areas. Use bleach solution (1 tsp chlorine bleach + 1 L water) on affected areas.
- Store items at least 6" (15 cm) off the ground to facilitate cleaning and pest control monitoring.
- Report activity to pest control service technician.
- Follow all recommendations provided by your pest control service technician.
- Ensure all areas of the premises are accessible for pest control service.
- Continue to maintain a high level of sanitation throughout the premises, especially in hard to reach areas.

Note: Bulk foods equipment and scoops are currently manually washed and sanitized. Adequate equipment, detergent, and sanitizer accessible and available to accommodate temporary manual washing and sanitizing processes.

Comments

- Handsink at vegetable prep area is provided with warm water, liquid soap and papertowels.
- Knives in storage at vegetable prep area appear to be maintained in a sanitary condition.
- 200 ppm QUATS available for sanitizing vegetable prep and bulk foods equipment.
- QUATS test strips available for verifying sanitizer concentration.

- Cold Holding Units are maintaining correct temperatures (≤4C).
- Freezer Units are maintaining correct temperatures (≤-18C).
- Most temperature controlled units are monitored by Microtherm (alarmed system). Units that are not monitored by Microtherm are identified and temperatures are manually monitored and recorded.

- Baby food and formula - expiry dates are routinely checked. Products are pulled one month before expiry date. No expired products noted at time of inspection.

- General sanitation (unless otherwise mentioned) of premises appears satisfactory.
