Routine inspection: Personal services offered by aesthetician: Facials (chemical peels, microdermabrasion, oxygeneo), regular microneedling, and laser hair removal (Er:YAG and Nd:YAG),and dermaplaning. Additional services to be added: RF microneedling with the INMODE machine using Morpheus8 TIP. Services provided by a Registered Massage Therapist and services regulated by the Health Professions Act were not inspected. Hand sink in treatment room provided with liquid soap and single use paper towels. Facials: All lotions, chemicals, serums, etc dispensed from pump style bottles or into bowls. Brushes are disinfected with 70% alcohol. Microdermabrasion - high level disinfectant (such as CS20) required for disinfecting tips. Microneedling: All needles with cartridges received sterilized and pre-packaged. Single use and discarded into sharps container. Microneedling pen is covered with a plastic covering when in use. New machine: please email specs and an infection control plan. Technician states hand piece (for new machine) will not be covered during service. Laser hair removal: Laser warning sign posted on door. No mirrors in treatment room. Laser machines are key operated with emergency on/off buttons. Adequate eyewear available. Eyewear disinfected with 70% alcohol. Dermaplaning -Blades are pre-packaged sterile and within their expiry date. -Re-usable handle disinfected with 70% alcohol. Please submit an infection control plan for Dermaplaning and RF microneedling by January 24, 2024.
