Summary of Inspection
At the inspection dated June 19, 2019 there were 70 children and 11 staff present. At this inspection no contraventions were identified.
As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided.
The following resources were emailed to the facility previously & discussed with staff during inspection:

 Summer Heat Bulletin
 Water Safety Bulletin
 Active Supervision Bulletin
 Field Trip Safety Bulletin

During inspection Licensing discussed the room set up with staff in the school age program to ensure school age equipment activities are accessible to children & the preschool equipment not as easily accessible. This will assist staff in meeting Schedule G of the CCLR for both programs who share the same space.

During inspection Licensing discussed with staff the need to monitor the outside play area and rake pea gravel over any parts of landscape fabric that are visible. Licensing noted one small piece of visible landscape fabric in the 3-5 outdoor play space in an area near the pavement. Staff stated they will rake pea gravel over it.

During inspection Licensing observed:
- children in the infant program waking from nap, eating snack & then playing in the gym area
- children in the toddler program having free play time, a circle/ book reading time and then having snack
- children in the 3-5 program having snack, having a book reading time before going outside for free play.
- the school age staff left the facility to pick up children from school as well as having outdoor play at the school ground/ park.
- Licensing observed staff in all programs interacting with children while they were engaged in activities as well as giving warnings before times of transition.
