Follow up inspection.
- Glassware washer technician checked machine May 2, 2023 and advised that the final rinse water contained iodine sanitizer.
Today, checked again using both types of test strips. Concentration appears to be <12.5ppm. Your test strip colour should turn light green after 20 seconds.
***Keep track of iodine use (check and mark level in bottle) and use test strips to verify 12.5ppm iodine concentration in the final rinse water as discussed. Keep daily records.
- Spray bottle for sanitizing counters and other surfaces contains 400+ppm chlorine. If using chlorine, use 2 mL domestic bleach per 500mL water of water and make fresh daily.
If using quats sanitizer, use as per label on the bottle - 200ppm and verify with test strip. ***Label spray bottle to accurately show contents.
