Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Ice scoop was observed to have other food debris on it.
Corrective Action(s): Scoop was placed in sink to be washed and sanitized at time of inspection. A new scoop was placed with the ice machine.

302 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not properly washed and sanitized [s. 17(2)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Both Quats sanitizer pails were tested to be at 50 ppm only.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure sanitizer solution is changed every 2 hours, and at the start of each day.
Staff changed solution in sanitizer pails at time of inspection. 200 ppm Quats detected.

401 - Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Back hand wash station was missing liquid soap and paper towels, and was not easily accessible (a chair and crates were stored in front of the hand sink).
Corrective Action(s): All hand wash stations must be properly supplied (hot and cold water, liquid soap, and paper towels in dispensers) and easily accessible at all times.

Comments

- Other hand sink was properly supplied.
- Quats sanitizer solution from dispenser was measured at 200 ppm.
- Three-compartment sink available for manual warewashing. Food prep sink available and maintained in sanitary conditions.
- Walk-in cooler measured at 3C. Topping prep cooler and all undercounter coolers were measured at 4C or colder. Reach-in cooler measured at 2C. Accurate thermometers available.
- Temperature logs well-maintained
- Hot-held food items were held at above 60C.
- General sanitation satisfactory.
- Staff have valid FoodSafe level 1 certificates (or equivalent)
- Walk-in cooler light bulb protected with shatterproof cover.
- No signs of pest activity noted at time of inspection.
