Report of Findings
Community Care Facilities Licensing [CCFL] received a complaint on March 17, 2022 regarding care and supervision, records and reporting, and nutrition and food services.

The following details were provided:
-A child received multiple injuries
-Injuries are not being reported to the parent
-Inadequate supervision
-Insufficient food and drink is given to a child

All areas of the complaint were fully investigated. Evidence was obtained through interviews with the Manager, observations and reviewing documentation and camera footage

CCFL determined the following contraventions to the Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR):
- 55 (1) (a) (1.1) Notification of Illness and Injury
- 55 (1) (a) Behavioural Guidance

14220 - CCLR s.51(1)(a)A licensee must (a) ensure that behavioural guidance is appropriate to the age and development of the child who is receiving the guidance.
Observation: Licensing determined through observations that inappropriate behavioural guidance was used.
Corrective action: A corrective action plan is required to be developed
19010 - CCLR s.55(1)(a)(1.1)A licensee must immediately notify a parent or emergency contact if, while under the care or supervision of the licensee, the child (a) becomes ill or is injured.(1.1) In the case of a licensee who provides a care program described as Child-minding, the parent to be notified under subsection (1) is the parent who is on the premises on which the child-minding service operates.
Observation: Licensing determined through an interview and through reading documentation that the parent was not immediately notified when a child sustained an injury
Corrective action: Corrective action plan to be developed.
