Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Staff on-site mentioned that they did not have FOODSAFE and/or equivalent course training when asked. Proof of FOODSAFE/equivalent course training was not available for the staff members working at the time of inspection. The supervisor for the store was away due to a family emergency.
Corrective Action(s): It is a regulatory requirement that at least one person in the absence of the operator hold FOODSAFE Level 1 and/or equivalent course training. This is a ticketable offence; A violation ticket and/or corrective ORDER will be issued for repeat violations.

The Manager from the other Tim Hortons was called to the current location as she has her Advanced FST training at the time of inspection.

Provide the district E.H.O. a list of staff members with FOODSAFE and/or equivalent course training at the current location.
FOODSAFE course information taught by Fraser Health was provided to the Manager at the time of inspection.

Comments

Handsinks were supplied with liquid soap and paper towels.
Coolers were at or below 4 degrees C / 40 degrees F.
Upright freezer temperature was satisfactory.
Hot-held soups, chili, and meat products were at or above 60 degrees C / 140 degrees F.
200 ppm QUATS sanitizer was available in the buckets with wiping cloths and third compartment of the 3-compartment sink.
Rodent droppings were not observed on the floor at the time of inspection.
Staff mentioned that they wash and sanitize the scoop for coffee and container every 2 hours.
