Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Staff washroom handwash station did not have any single use paper towels.
Corrective Action(s): Handwash stations must be easily accessible and supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid hand soap, and single use paper towels to facilitate proper handwashing. Single use paper towels were replaced at the time of inspection.

Observation: Shelving units in the kitchen were made of exposed wood.
Corrective Action(s): All surfaces must be smooth, non-absorbent, and easily cleanable. Wood can be painted/finished to create a suitable material.

Observation: A new plastic brush used for cleaning equipment was found to be losing bristles into the water.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure equipment is in good working order and bristles do not fall off the brush and into the food.

Observation: A spray bottle of all purpose cleaner was unlabelled.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure all chemicals are properly labelled to prevent accidental mixing or misuse of chemicals. Once labels fall off bottles or fade, they must be relabelled.

Comments

-Facility does not offer dine-in service.
-Walk-in cooler was at 4C.
-Front display cooler was at 4C.
-Prep cooler is currently not in use and was unplugged. Cooler unit is not used for the storage of potentially hazardous foods.
-Upright freezer was at -18C.
-2-compartment sink was set-up with bleach. Solution tested at 200ppm.
-Sanitizer pail was properly labelled and tested at 200ppm.
-Handwash station easily accessible and supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid hand soap, and single use paper towels.
-Food items properly covered and stored inside pest proof containers.
-Paper lining shelving units changed daily. Bag placed under frying area also changed daily.
-Facility is currently serviced monthly by a professional pest control operation. No signs of pests noted at the time of inspection.
-Back screen door kept closed at the time of inspection.
-General sanitation good at the time of inspection.
