If barbicide is not available, you can use 1/2 tsp domestic bleach in 1 liter water and soak for 10 minutes, rinse and air dry. Clippercide (clipper disinfectant) is to be used to disinfect clippers between clients. Label must indicate that it is a disinfectant. Violation Score: 9

Home-based PSE. By appointment only. Hair salon is separate from residence. Hair services only (no shaving, no eyelash tints). Barbicide - requires changing - using new clean combs, brushes for clients - see above. Clippers - see above. Towels - launder between uses (use hot dry). Capes are cleaned. Hand washing sink in washroom has liquid soap and single use (paper) towels. Additional sink is available for cleaning combs and brushes, etc. Hair washing sink has a backflor preventer (vacuum breaker) and keeping hose out of sink (air gap). Premises clean. Copy of report to be emailed to operator.
