Code 303 noted on Routine inspection # AHEN-AVPU6D of Feb-05-2018
Equipment/facilities/hot & cold water for sanitary maintenance not adequate [s. 17(3); s. 4(1)(f)] (High temperature dishwasher had a final rinse temperature consistently below 71 degrees C internally at the plate (with the last check measured at 67.7 degrees C) at the time of inspection. The machine was turned on several hours ago according to the staff member. )
Comments

Follow up inspection:
-Dishwasher was re-serviced and final rinse temperature was at least 71 degrees C at the plate (actually measured at 72.9 degrees C).
-Staff member had a waterproof thermometer to monitor the final rinse temperature and a working display panel.
-Small cooler in the classroom was at or below 4 degrees C and it was equipped with a thermometer.
-It was mentioned that a cooler with a freezer component may be added as number of meals has increased at the facility. Please ensure it is a commercial type, able to maintain refrigeration temperatures at or below 4 degrees C/40 degrees F, freezer temperatures at or below -18 degrees C/0 degrees F, and is equipped with accurate thermometers to monitor the aforementioned temperatures. This fridge/freezer must be designated for kitchen use only to prevent any potential cross-contamination issues and prevent excessive opening/closing of the refrigeration doors. It was mentioned that staff members at the facility already have a separate refrigeration unit for their personal use.
Thank you for making improvements.
