Correction: Inspect all food containers and ensure rodent droppings or chew marks are not present.
ANY contaminated food items, those items chewed or evidence of rodent contamination such as droppings, are to be destroyed and are not to be for human consumption.

Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not maintained in sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
Observation: Take out bags and containers stored on bottom shelf.
Bottom shelf is covered by rodent droppings and oats chewed by rodents.
Upper shelf near this area has evidence of rodent activity as chewed oats are present.
Sanitizer solution bottle is broken. This makes it difficult to use.

Correction: Clean and sanitize affected areas. Use 200ppm Chlorine. Wet affected areas. Use gloves.
Discard all contaminated single use containers, bags, cups etc that are contaminated by rodents.
Obtain different container for sanitizer solution. Discussed with staff.

Observation: Front hand sink has soap on floor.
Washroom hand sink does not have a hand soap dispensing unit.

Correction: All sinks are to be supplied with liquid soap and liquid soap dispensing units at all times.
Ensure sinks are adequately supplied at all times.

ITEMS CORRECTED:
- Food relocated from downstairs storage room to upstairs
- Facility has been serviced by Pest Control Company
- Five holes sealed by Pest Control Company
- Janitorial company has cleaned facility including electrical cupboard, inside rusted coolers, floors and surfaces
- Hand soap has been purchased
- Additional bleach at facility
- Chlorine test strips were located at time of inspection
- Ice machine was cleaned
- Contaminated food items and Single use items discarded
- Poison has been removed from food areas and replaced with traps
- Staff signed up for FOODSAFE course online

ITEMS TO BE CORRECTED:
- Rodent droppings found on floor under equipment - clean and sanitize floors in hard to reach areas
- Rodent droppings found on lower shelf under cash - clean and sanitize
*** Janitorial staff did miss some areas contaminated by rodent droppings. These areas must be cleaned and sanitized (previously listed)
- Remove any paint cans in back area to downstairs storage area
- Soap missing from washroom - replaced from front hand sink *** SOAP MUST BE ALWAYS STORED IN WASHROOM AND FRONT HAND SINKS
- Fill hole in electrical cupboard
- Have facility serviced by Pest Control Technician twice per month

CLOSURE ORDER RESCINDED - the facility needs to continue with services of pest control and maintain a higher level of sanitation to prevent further enforcement action. Ensure nightly cleaning occurs. Pest Control technician reports are to be emailed to EHO
