Processed vegetables such as sliced cucumber were stored in the prep cooler functioning at an ambient temperature of 14C.
Staff voluntarily discarded 4x processed cucumbers.
Corrective Action(s): Do not store cold potentially hazardous food at a temperature above 4C.

Follow up inspection conducted to routine inspection (report #TGIL-CHKS3Y)

- One prep cooler has been serviced and recorded at 2C.
- Second prep cooler was recorded at 14C. Operator stated that the cooler was functioning properly 2 days ago and the appointment has been made with the technician for tomorrow.
- Temperature logs have been maintained regularly. Good.
- Vents have been cleaned. No signs of grease/dirt build up observed.
- No flies were observed at the time of inspection. Back door was kept closed.

Actions required:
- Repair the second prep cooler as it has been used regularly for food storage. DO NOT STORE cold potentially hazardous food in the prep cooler that has not been repaired yet.

NOTE - Produce that has been processed - cut, peeled, sliced is considered as a potentially hazardous food.
