Observation:
All three washrooms are out of order.
- Washroom 1: wheelchair-accessible washroom is still out of order due to a clogged toilet.
- Washroom 2: men's washroom is still out of order due to a broken door handle.
- Washroom 3: women's washroom is now out of order due to no handle on the door.
Corrective Action(s):
- Repair all three washrooms (clogged toilet, broken/missing handles).
- Ensure all washrooms are cleaned properly and throughout the day.
- Ensure all sinks in the washrooms are fully equipped with liquid soap, paper towels and hot/cold running water.
- Ensure the liquid soap, paper towels and toilet paper are in dispensers.

City and Building Code requirements must be followed for the number and type of washrooms in a dine-in food premises.

Comments

Follow-up Inspection for Complaint-based Inspection:
- Washrooms have still not been serviced/repaired.
- Person-in-charge informed that "in an emergency, one of the washrooms may be opened."
- Person-in-charge informed that their plumber will have the washrooms fixed by 5 pm today.

As per Section 5 of the British Columbia Food Premises Regulation (B.C. Reg. 210/99),
"If food premises provide seating for dining purposes are are not subject to building bylaws adopted under the Local Government Act, the operator must ensure that washroom facilities are provided for the use of the dining patrons in accordance with B.C. Reg. 216/2006, the British Columbia Building Code Regulation."
