Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Neither of the staff members in the facility at the time of inspection had valid FoodSafe Level 1 or equivalent training. Operator who had FoodSafe Level 1 training stated she went out for a delivery and staff are new.
Corrective Action(s): When facility is in operation, at least one person in the establishment must have a valid FoodSafe Level 1 or equivalent training. If there are deliveries, other staff who do not have valid FoodSafe Level 1 or equivalent must carry out the deliveries. Both FoodSafe Level 1 certified staff appeared on-site at the time of inspection. Failure to have adequately trained staff in the establishment while in operation in the future may result in the issuance of a violation ticket in the amount of $230.

Comments

-Follow-up inspection to June 27, 2018.
-Staff are now aware of the secondary cook step for shawarma meat. After the meat is cut off the spite, it is cooked a second time on the flat grill.
-Raw meats were found stored properly below ready-to-eat foods at the time of inspection.
-Did not observe any fly tape in the kitchen at the time of inspection.
-Chemical spray bottles were properly labelled at the time of inspection.
