Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA) and the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DOLSOP). All areas of the facility were inspected for compliance.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
RECORDS AND REPORTING: 19080 - CCLR s.57(2)(b) - A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (b) date of enrolment in the community care facility.
Observation: Licensing reviewed 6 files of which 1 was missing date of enrolment
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure all children’s files are complete and up to date
Date to be Corrected: June 9, 2023

RECORDS AND REPORTING: 19100 - CCLR s.57(2)(d) - A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (d) name and telephone number of a parent, medical practitioner and emergency contact.
Observation: Licensing reviewed 6 files of which 2 were missing medical practitioner name and phone number.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure all children’s files are complete and up to date

Comments

At the inspection on May 26th, 2023 there were 6 children and 2 staff present.
At this inspection, the above noted contraventions were identified.

As part of this Routine inspection, a Facility Risk Assessment Tool was completed off site and a copy will be provided.
