Observation: NEW OBSERVATION:

Found 9 x 300g of unopened packets and a container of loose of what appears to be duck blood (Blackberry Jelly Pudding on package) in the facility.
Label on packet indicated Blackberry Jelly Pudding, No supplier name on label.

Operator indicates the items were purchased by cash (cash only at store) at Crystal Mall in Burnaby

Corrective Action(s): There is currently no legal approved facility to bring in duck blood. All foods must come from approved source. All items placed on hold -1 box in dry storage and 1 container in 2-door display in kitchen -do not retail or discard the product until further direction by Fraser Health or Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA)

Owner to determine which store in Crystal Mall the food was purchased from.

NOTE: do not purchase items where an invoice/receipt is not available by the retailer as this is a possible sign of foods not from an approved source (Government inspected facility)
