Introduction

An unscheduled follow-up inspection to Routine Inspection # SMIA-CMZQGV dated 12 January 2023 was conducted. All newly licensed facilities in Fraser Health receive one routine and one follow up-inspection to ensure they are maintaining compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DOLSP).

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

At the inspection dated May 15, 2023 there were four children, one staff and the Manager present. Licensing conducted a walk-through of the entire facility. There were no contraventions identified during this inspection.
Following was discussed with the manager:
When checking employee references, the Manager must contact the references and include a notation indicating when the employee references were verified
Each staff must have a valid criminal record check addressed to the facility
