A routine inspection was completed, the following observations were made:
- Coolers below 4C; freezers below -18C; and thermometers present.
- No sandwiches being made at this time, but hot drinks (coffee & hot chocolate) being dispensed and served from a machine (powder mix).
- All foods stored 6" off the floor on shelves and racks; foods stored in groups with meats separate from other foods; and foods stored in food grade containers; covered; labeled; and date coded.
- No expired foods in use or for sale. FIFO rules being followed.
- FoodSafe certified staff present, owner took course a couple years ago.
- General sanitation level is excellent. No signs of pests.
- Hand sink stocked with liquid soap, paper towels, and running hot and cold water.
- Bleach sanitizer in spray bottle had [Cl2] of 200ppm.
- Cheque for yearly health permit fees, of $150, obtained (cheque # 0125).
- Owner proposing to install a table top, specialty oven to bake cakes. There is no concerns with this, as the equipment doesn't require an exhaust hood and runs on 110/220 volts (which the premises has). Owner has emailed equipment specification for our records.
- 3-comp sink present for dishwashing in food processing area. Hand sink present at front service counter.
- All in order. |
