Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): - Bus pan was placed over handsink in front service area and no paper towel was present for drying hands
- No hand soap was present at handsink in back food preparation area
Corrective Action(s): - Bus pan was removed and paper towel supplied at front handsink at time of the inspection. Liquid soap was supplied to back handsink at time of the inspection. Ensure handsinks are always accessible and supplied with liquid soap and paper towel for handwashing.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): 1) Tray of raw eggs were stored on top shelf of sliding door cooler above ready to eat food items
2) Bag of flour and canned goods were stored on the floor
3) Bag of sliced almonds, bag of raisins, bag of pasta and package of cookies were noted open

Corrective Action(s): 1) Store raw eggs on lowest shelf of cooler beneath ready to eat items to prevent contamination of those food items
2) Store all food on shelving a minimum of 6 inches off of the floor
3) Tightly close bags or store in containers with tight fitting lids to prevent contamination. Dry goods should be stored in pest proof containers.

Observation: - Dust, spills, and miscellaneous food containers and crates present on floor of food preparation area
- Storage room is cluttered with miscellaneous decoration items
- Towel on top of grease trap with food containers stored on top
Corrective Action(s): - Remove all moveable items from floor. Thoroughly clean floor to remove all dust, spill and debris. Keep floor area clear to facilitate cleaning and monitoring for pest activity.
- Remove towel from grease trap. All surfaces in food premises are to be smooth and washable.
Wash and sanitize containers which were stored on grease trap and store on clean shelving. Do not store food containers, food equipment or food on the grease trap. This is not a clean location.
- Organize storage room and remove any items not required for the operation of the food premises.
Install additional shelving if needed to ensure all food items and food equipment is stored off of the floor.

Comments

- New Operator for premises; however, no change to ownership. No changes to menu or layout.
- Operator and staff member present have valid Foodsafe level 1 certificates
- Coolers were operating at required temperature (4C or colder)
- Sliding door cooler 2C
- Undercounter cooler 3C
Note: Display cooler at front foyer of premises not in use.
- Freezers were maintaining products in a frozen state
- Reach in freezer -16C
- Chest freezer (storage room) -23C
- High temperature dishwasher met required sanitizing temperature (71C or higher). Final rinse measured 73.9C at dish surface with min/max thermometer.
- Bleach sanitizer solution present in buckets with wiping cloths for use on food contact surfaces. Concentration measured 200ppm chlorine
Note: Lysol wipes (scented) present - not for use on food contact surfaces as a rinse step is required
- No signs of pest activity noted at time time of the inspection
- Staff and public washroom were supplied with liquid soap and paper towel for handwashing.
