Introduction

Community Care Facilities Licensing (CCFL) inspected all care categories during an unscheduled routine inspection to assess compliance w/:
• the Community Care & Assisted Living Act
• the Child Care Licensing Regulation
• relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practices
Contraventions
Previous Inspection - Contraventions observed on FIR #CGEE-CLUUQC have been corrected.
Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.
Observed Violations
STAFFING: 12060 - CCLR s.19(1)(c) - A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (c) a record of the person's work history.
Observation: An employee lacked a record of her work history.
Corrective Action(s): All requirements of s.19 must be obtained by employees' 1st day of employment.

RECORDS AND REPORTING: 19260 - CCLR s.58(2)(b) - The licensee must (b) review the care plan at least once each year with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent.
Observation: A child's care plan that was received over a year ago & has not been signed/dated yet.
Corrective Action(s): Care plans must be reviewed w/ parents annually (verified by signing/dating).
