Observation: Walkin freezer must be at -18c or below at all times. Walkin freezer was found at -10c.
Corrective Action(s): Repair freezer so it reaches -18c or colder at all times.

307 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not of suitable design/material [s. 16; s. 19]
Observation: All wooden food contact surfaces/shelves must be easy to clean material. Shelves in cooking area were found to be in disrepair. They require refinishing or resurfacing and must be easy to clean, non-porous material.
Corrective Action(s): Refinish or replace all wooden shelves so they are easy to clean material.
This must be completed by March 1, 2019.

Observation: Chest freezer in sweet cooking area is not working. Any equipment that is not working or in operation must be removed from facility.
Corrective Action(s): Remove the chest freezer. Note: This is oustanding from last routine inspection.
This must be completed as soon as possible.

315 - Refrigeration units and hot holding equipment lack accurate thermometers [s. 19(2)]
Observation: All coolers must be equipped with thermometers.
Insert coolers near cooking area were missing thermometers inside the coolers.
Corrective Action(s): Replace or install new thermometers. Ensure they are working and accurate.

Routine inspection.
Note: Facility is take-out food only.
Handwashing stations are equipped with hot/cold running water, liquid soap and paper towels.
All coolers are at 4c or below.
Front display cooler at 3c for sweets.
Chest freezer in sweet storage area found at -19c.
Hot holding units were not in use during time of this inspection.
Dishwasher reached 50ppm concentration for sanitize cycle.
Note: Large pots and pans are being washed in dishwashing area.
Sanitizer found at 100ppm concentration in labelled buckets. All rags are being stored in sanitizer buckets.
Cleaning throughout the kitchen is being done routinely.
Overall kitchen is in sanitary condition.
All sweets are being stored in containers with lids or covers. Dry sweets are being stored on trays with food grade covers.
note: rasmalai is no longer being sold in prepackaged containers.
All ceiling tiles are in good sanitary condition.
Orkin pest control is contracted for monthly pest control inspections.
No pest evidence or issues noted during time of this inspection.
Back doors are closed.
All employees observed to be wearing proper wear.
Employees onsite have valid foodsafe certification.


The following must be completed:
1. See above noted violations
2. Ensure all foods and equipment is off the floor at all times. This will allow better cleaning of floors and help prevent any pest issues.
3. Cleaning schedule has not been prepared as recommended during last inspection. All deep cleaning is being done on sundays. A list of all the items/equipment that are cleaned on sundays was provided to Environmental Health Officer during time of inspection.
4. Copy of last pest control invoice/report to be provided to Environmental Health officer by email.
