Food Safe - Manager on site today has an updated Food Safe certificate. Copies of certificates are available on site.
***The operator must provide copy of her updated certificate as certificate expired 2018. Email copy to Fraser Health. ***
Food safety plan - Copies are on site.
Sanitation plan/cleaning schedule - copies are on site. A cleaning schedule is available. Add the ice machine to the cleaning schedule.
Coolers - today all are at 4 C or colder. Produce cooler - make sure door closes properly /repair seal if necessary.
Ingredient information for food items made at other Islands Cafe location are available. Provide accurate ingredient information to customers when asked.
Rice hot holding >60 C - good.
Hand washing sink has liquid soap and paper towels.
Dishwasher has hot water and a final chlorine sanitizing rinse (50ppm measured).
Chlorine bleach solution is in a labelled spray bottle at 200ppm - good.
Cleaning - improved. Recommend re-sealing the floor so it is smooth and will be easier to clean.
Pest control - cleaning has improved. Door is closed. Monitoring is in place. No evidence of pests today. Continue monitoring. Food spills are to be cleaned up promptly. Keep food in pest proof bins and keep dry storage items up off of floor in dry storage room to facilitate monitoring for pests.
