Code 301 noted on Routine inspection # SDHI-C8UT2P of Nov-17-2021 Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not maintained in sanitary condition [s. 17(1)] Observation: Ice machine observed with pink mildew on filter. Staff turned off the ice machine during time of inspection, discarded the remainder ice, cleaned and sanitized the machine with 200 ppm QUATS solution. Correction: Clean and sanitize the ice machine (as per manufacturer label) more frequently (as per approved sanitation plan) to prevent mold/mildew build up which can potentially contaminate ice. Do not use until the ice machine is cleaned and sanitized as per manufacturer label and verified by the health inspector. To be corrected by: November 18, 2021

Follow-up Inspection Conducted Observations: - General sanitation of premises satisfactory during inspection - Ice machine has been cleaned and sanitized. Ensure the ice machine is cleaned and sanitized frequently to prevent growth of mildew/mold. Ice machine is observed turned back on - Hand washing stations adequately supplied with liquid soap, paper towel, hot and cold running water Outstanding non-critical violation from last routine inspection (report# SDHI-C8UT2P) in regards to fruit flies to be followed up next inspection. Operator mentioned that they have poured vinegar water down the drains in the meantime and that they are in the process of installing yellow sticky tape/traps for the remaining fruit flies.
