Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not maintained in sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
Observation: Debris was observed inside the ice machine.
Correction: Drain the ice prior to cleaning and sanitizing the ice machine in accordance with manufacturer's specifications; Correct today.
Comments

Follow up inspection:
-Dead cockroaches previously observed in the traps and single dead cockroach on floor had been removed.
-New glue traps were observed to be in place.
-Cleaning improvements had been made to the side of the 2-compartment sink and floor below and next to the refrigeration units near the dishwashing area.
-Continue cleaning floor below and behind equipment regularly to prevent any potential food or water sources for pests.
-Recent pest control service was on March 16, 2023 by Abell based on the pest control report. The use of seclira cockroach gel bait was noted on this report.
-Ice machine was in a clean condition.

-Ensure to monitor for pest activity and continue the professional pest control program (currently scheduled twice per month). Continue with pest control measures to eliminate cockroaches: pest control program to apply appropriate treatment and re-service traps, cleaning the food premises (e.g. below cook line equipment, below and around refrigeration equipment, floor near the dishwasher etc.) regularly everyday to prevent potential breeding grounds for pests, sealing any cracks/crevices/entry points, preventing harbourage areas for pests, and protecting food from any potential contamination.
