Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): > 400 PPM QUAT residual detected in 2 sanitizer spray bottles.
Corrective Action(s): **Issue corrected during the inspection**
One of the QUAT sanitizer spray bottles was diluted during the inspection. 200 PPM QUAT detected after dilution. The second bottle did not have much sanitizer left.
Manually dilute all QUAT sanitizer spray bottle as shown to staff during the inspection. Please contact your chemical representative and have them reset the wall mounted QUAT sanitizer dispenser so only 200 - 400 PPM QUAT is dispensed each time. When you use more than 400 PPM QUAT on food contact surfaces, the solution may not completely evaporate and could leave a residual that could be transfer to food and become a chemical hazard for consumers. This is also very costly to the operator where they are using too much QUAT solution then required.
