Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Due to power outage which lasted for about 45 minutes, cold potentially hazardous foods stored in one of the walk-in coolers were measured to be at 6'~7'C. Ambient air temperature was at 7-8'C. Second walk-in cooler at 2-4'C.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure to have all cold potentially food stored at 4'C or below.

Observation: Due to power outage which lasted for about 45 minutes, the freezers were operating at -15'C/-16'C.

Follow-up inspection conducted:

- Foods stored in the walk-in cooler properly covered with food grade materials.
- Kitchen cooler operating at 3.8'C.
- Back storage area in good sanitary condition.
- 200ppm chlorine solution available in a bucket to hold wiping cloths for each area. Good.

It was observed that the facility was not accepting customers and kitchen was not in use when the health inspector walked in to conduct a follow up inspection. Staff had advised that the facility had been out of power for the past 15 minutes and electrician was to come within the next 10 minutes. Operator contacted BC Hydro and the power was back at 1:31pm. The total duration of power outage was about 45 minutes.
