-Premises maintained in sanitary condition
-Handsink sink supplied with hot and cold running water.
-Sliding door cooler was 4C
-Whirlpool fridge/freezer was 3C/-12C
-Chest freezer was -16C
*Fridge/freezer (Concept II) adjacent to microwave is not working and not in use. Manager reported the intent is to replace the unit.
-Glasswasher was functioning and met sanitizing requirement. 100ppm chlorine residual detected from rinse cycle. Chlorine test strips present for verifying sanitizer residual.
-Spray bottle with sanitizer solution present for sanitizing counters and food contact surfaces.
-No signs of pest activity noted at the time of the inspection. Manager reported previous issues have been addressed, holes were filled with steel wool and no further issues have been noted.
-Wall behind 2 compartment sink has been repaired as per previous routine inspection report and is now in good repair.
-Ice machine appears clean and maintained. Ice scoop stored in clean container outside of ice bin.
-Manager reported she will be completing the Foodsafe level 1 refresher course as her certificate will be expiring July 29, 2018. Operator must have completed Foodsafe level 1 and in the Operator's absence, 1 person (staff) must be present with Foodsafe level 1. Review staff certificates to ensure they are still valid.
-Premises is only offering drink service (beer, highballs) and pre-packaged non-potentially hazardous goods (chips). At this time there is no plans to re-open the concession downstairs.
