Observation: Single-use containers without handles were again found in dry storage ingredient bins in the upstairs dry storage area.
Corrective Action(s): Use proper scoops with handles for scooping food and ingredients, and ensure to store scoops properly (with handles not in direct contact in food).

Comments

- Follow-up to routine inspection conducted on May 8, 2023 (Report #258918).
- Dishwasher in kitchen was working properly, dispensing 100 ppm chlorine residual to the rinse cycle, detected at the dish surface after the final rinse. Good - reminder to check your dishwasher (and bar glasswasher) with your chlorine test strips daily.
- Knives stored on magnetic knife rack were noted to be clean at time of inspection.
- No single-use containers were stored directly on inserts/food at the prep cooler. Good.
- Previous brand of food colouring labelled "not for human consumption" is no longer onsite. Good.

*See above noted violation regarding dry ingredient scoops.
