Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Operations Manager of Hen Long Market called the supplier Better Value Eggs to inquire about the address of the processing location of the salted duck eggs that were supplied to Hen Long Market with invoice dated December 16, 2022. After speaking with the supplier over phone, the Operations Manager of Hen Long Market informed that the salted duck eggs were processed and supplied from the supplier's business address at 112 11538 132A Street Surrey B.C. The food premises located at 112 11538 132A Street Surrey B.C is an unapproved source. The 495 salted duck eggs, previously placed on hold by Fraser Health, at the food premises are now confirmed to be from an unapproved source.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure food (including the salted duck eggs) on this food premises, Hen Long Market, that is sold, offered for sale, or distributed to the public is obtained from approved sources in accordance with Section 11 of the Food Premises Regulation (B.C. Reg. 210/99). 495 salted duck eggs confirmed to be from an unapproved source (Better Value Eggs located at 112 11538 132A Street Surrey B.C) were discarded by staff into the organics disposal bin during the inspection.
