Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DoLSoP).
All care categories were inspected for compliance.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.
Observed Violations
STAFFING: 12090 - CCLR s.19(1)(f) - A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (f) evidence that the person has complied with the Province's immunization and tuberculosis control programs.
Observation: Licensing reviewed 3 employee files, of those reviewed, one file did not contain evidence that the person has complied with the provinces immunization control programs.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure to keep record that each employee has complied with the provinces immunization program.

Summary of Inspection:
· During today’s inspection, there were 12 children, 2 staff and one support worker present.
· At this inspection, the above noted contravention was identified. Licensee is required to submit a corrective action plan to address the contraventions.

The following was discussed:
· Manager said that the school age care program has not been operating since covid. Licensing discussed the change of licence to remove this care type if school age care is no longer being offered.
· Care plans
· Emergency response plans
