Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Sanitizer in sanitizing sink and sanitizing container measured at 100ppm Quaternary ammonia compound.
Corrective action: Staff changed sanitizer at time of inspection and refilled with Quaternary ammonia compound sanitizer which measured at 200ppm. Staff resanitized utensil and food contact surfaces at time of inspection.
Adequate sanitizer is necessary to effectively sanitize food-contact surfaces and prevent microbial growth and/or toxin production.

Comments

General Comments
-Handwashing sink supplied with hot/cold running water, liquid soap and single-use paper towel.
3-compartment sink equipped with drain plugs and have side drainboards.
-Cooler measured below 4C and has accurate thermometer.
-Ice machine was being cleaned at time of inspection. Ice scoop is stored in sanitary condition.
-Sanitizer in spray bottle measured at 200ppm Quaternary ammonia compound. Sanitizer at dispenser also measured at 200ppm QUATS.
-General food storage is good.
-Blenders are washed and sanitized after each use.
-Temperature log is available is up-to-date.
-Permit is posted.
-Single-use items such as straws, coffee cups and coffee sticks are stored in sanitary manner.
-Chemicals stored separate from food.
-No sign of pest activity noted at time of inspection.
-Staff mentioned FOODSAFE Level 1 is completed however proof of certification not available at time of inspection. Proof of FOODSAFE certification must be available on site at all times. Staff to email a copy of their certification to district EHO.
