The following areas were reviewed: Licensing; Physical Facility; Staffing; Polices & Procedures; Care & Supervision; Hygiene and Communicable Disease Control; Medication; Nutrition and Food Services; Program; Records and Reporting.
As part of the Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided. The Risk Assessment includes non-compliance identified during the routine inspection and a 3 year historical” review of the facility’s compliance and operation.

Comments

During inspection Licensing discussed the importance of "Active Supervision" with staff just as a reminder regarding actively scanning, counting children etc.

During inspection children were engaged in free play in the outside area: staff had hooked up a hose to a sprinkler system at the top of a slide for a water slide, children were playing with the sprinkler system spraying the slide & the air & the ground; there was also a sand area and music wall with drum/ pots etc but all of the children were watching or working with the sprinkler during inspection.

During inspection Licensing observed staff interacting with children while they were engaged in activities; assisting children when they were in need of a hug or problem solving; Licensing also observed staff touching bases with each other throughout the inspection to see where they were located or if the needed assistance..
