Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted on August 29, 2023 to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All care categories were reviewed for compliance.

Contraventions
Previous Inspection -
Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
RECORDS AND REPORTING: 19090 - CCLR s.57(2)(c) - A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure.
Observation: Upon inspection the Licensee said that she was not taking attendance for the children.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure the children's arrival and departure times are recorded.

Comments

At the inspection dated August 29, 2023 there were 4 children and 2 staff present. At this inspection the above noted contraventions were identified. The Licensee will provide Licensing with a written response.Licensing will review the response. As part of this Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment was completed and a copy was provided.

Licensing conducted a walk-through of the entire facility.

Valid CRC's are available, reviewed expiry dates with Licensee.

The following discussions were had with the Licensee:

· Registrations
· Record Keeping
· Physical Facility
· Backyard use


The following resources were provided:

· Away play spaces

The information contained in the report was discussed with the Licensee and Licensing stated that the report will be emailed to the facility.(printing issue)
