209 - Food not protected from contamination [s. 12(a)]
Observation: Tetra packs of alternative milks that are stored in the back storage room were observed to have several mouse droppings on top the milk containers. The tops of the containers have been contaminated and mouse droppings could fall into food if not removed.
Corrective Action(s): Remove all tetra packs of alternative milks stored in the back room and manually wash, rinse and sanitize the outside of the containers before putting them back in storage. Store these in a location that mice cannot access and/or cover them to prevent mice from getting on top of the alternative milks while the mouse issue is being dealt with.
Due: Today (do not use any containers of milk from this location until they have been cleaned and sanitized).
