Introduction

An unscheduled follow-up inspection to Routine Inspection # SMIA-BYZW3N was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care & Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DOLSP).

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

At the inspection dated September 10, 2021 there were three children and one staff present. Licensing found all the contraventions identified in the Routine Inspection # SMIA-BYZW3N were addressed.

The following were discussed with the manager:

· Sign in- out procedures for children attending school
· Balloons used for play purposes pose a suffocation hazard for young children
· Facility's daily schedule

The inspection report was written off-site – details were reviewed with the Manager prior to writing the report. A copy of the inspection report sent to manager via email on September 10, 2021. Total time includes writing report in office.
