Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All areas of the facility were reviewed for compliance

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 11080 - CCLR s.15(1)(a) - A licensee must supply equipment, furniture and supplies that are (a) of sturdy and safe construction, easy to clean and free from hazards.
Observation: the following pieces of equipment are in need of repair or replacement, the carpet in room 7 is wrinkled causing a tripping hazard, as well there is a hole near the staff desk, the green bench the wood is rough and splintering please ensure the wood is smooth, the couch in room 6 are showing signs of wear making it difficult to clean,
Corrective Action(s): please ensure all the above are repaired or replaced to ensure the continued health and safety of the children in care,
