Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Measuring scoop was completely immersed in the salsa, with the handle covered in salsa.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure scoops are stored in a sanitary manner to prevent potential contamination of foods. Scoop was removed at the time of inspection.

Observation: Staff member on-site did not have FOODSAFE Level 1 or equivalent training.
Corrective Action(s): In the absence of the operator, at least one staff on-site must have FOODSAFE Level 1 or equivalent training. Staff member to register for FOODSAFE Level 1 within the month.

Comments

-Display cooler was at 2C.
-Both under counter coolers were at 4C.
-Prep cooler was at 3C (top) and 4C (bottom).
-Upright freezers were less than -18C.
-Ice cream freezer was at -21C.
-Temperatures are checked and recorded daily.
-Ice cream scoops stored in hot water well which was greater than 60C.
-Cleaning and sanitizing carried out in the 3-compartment sink. Quats sanitizer was at 200ppm.
-Handwash station accessible and supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid hand soap, and single use paper towels.
-Quats sanitizer spray bottles were labelled and tested at 200ppm.
-Blender containers sanitized after each use.
-Equipment was found to be clean and sanitary.
-Food items stored off the floor and covered.
-General sanitation satisfactory at the time of inspection. Additional cleaning required next to the ice cream freezers.
-No signs of pests noted at the time of inspection.
