Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practise (DLSP). All care categories were inspected for compliance.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

At the inspection dated August 31, 2021, there were no children present as it was a professional development day. For the purposes of training, a Licensing practicum student was present with the Licensing Officer. There were 3 staff present. At this inspection, no contraventions were identified. As part of this Routine Inspection, a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided. A follow up inspection will be done when children are present.

A detailed discussion was had with the Manager regarding:

-cleaning, sanitizing and hand washing
-all Covid protocols are in place for the facility
-sharing of cleared criminal record check letters between organizations
-exemptions for staff qualifications
