Information Exchanged
Discussed operation of system with VAID trustees and operator on several occasions in last fiscal year. Much effort put into reviewing chlorine residuals within water distribution system. Good overall communication with operator and trustees. Currently looking into corrections to intake well casing to possibly reduce turbidity. Assessment or source and distribution system underway and report forthcoming by McElhanney Consulting Engineers.
Water Sample - Microbiological
Excellent frequency of bacteriological water sampling (262 total samples collected in last fiscal year with approx. 8% positive for total coliforms and 1 sample positive for fecal coliforms).
Issue Boil Advisory
Boil water advisory was in place from June 14, 2005 to October 7, 2005 due to malfunction of chlorinator.
