HealthSpace Informatics was founded in 1998 to develop information and communication management systems for federal, provincial, state and municipal governments. Over the last 12 years, the company has successfully developed web-based applications for large and small organizations that enable the collection of fiscal information, inspection data and approval processes to facilitate automated issuance of permits, fee collection and regulatory management. Clients range in size from small county organizations to state-wide systems with over a thousand users, and national programs. HealthSpace is the largest provider of information management systems for the environmental sector in Canada and has the single largest installation in the United States.
HealthSpace, as a registered IBM business partner, is a solutions provider working with the client to develop, specific solutions that meet the needs of the client by:
- Assessing client business challenges and wants;
- Developing the appropriate custom solutions;
- that provide the desired results and benefits.
HealthSpace is a systems integrator, meaning that the software systems that it develops and installs fit into existing or new peripheral applications that an agency may have, or acquire, in the future. As such, HealthSpace takes an enterprise approach to the systems it provides which stops the proliferation of different systems, enhances reporting functions, and improves productivity with better reliability at the lowest cost.
Although HealthSpace systems can be readily adapted to meet the client’s specific needs, it is offered as a COTS application. The system framework provides for a standardized approach enabling the company and the client to configure the application to meet specific criteria. System configurability is one the inherent features of the application.
HealthSpace's core staff have accumulated 300 years of experience in data management systems; constantly developing, configuring, customizing software and service packages to meet the changing needs of their clients.
HealthSpace systems enable borderless data exchange across agencies resulting in considerable efficiency gain and enhanced regulatory productivity.
All of the HealthSpace’s existing clients run on network infrastructures composed primarily of Microsoft technologies. The system works flawlessly in these types of environments.
Servers run a combination of Microsoft SQL Server and IBM's Domino application server, all on the Microsoft Windows 2003 or 2007 operating systems. The system can also operate on an Oracle database backend.
HealthSpace is a private corporation, in business since 1998. HealthSpace operates national programs for the Canadian Government, state-wide applications with over 800 simultaneous users and large regional systems. HealthSpace Ei also provides robust and economical applications for smaller county operations
HealthSpace has retained every client since its inception and has renewed every contract.
