Virginia Department of Health
Office of Environmental Health Services

Welcome to the Virginia Department of Health Restaurant Inspection Website. Environmental health specialists in the local health departments perform a wide variety of environmental and public health functions which include restaurant inspections. Here you can view inspection reports for restaurants, fast food operations, delis, cafeterias, and other types of food service establishments inspected by local health departments. You also can find information, such as public health alerts and advisories pertaining to food establishments and food safety.

There is a seven day delay between the time the inspection is entered into the database and when its details appear on this site.

To view the inspections of a particular restaurant, click on the city or county where the restaurant is located in the Regional Information section on the left side of this page. Selecting the city or county from the list presented will take you to the appropriate health district's website where you can find the restaurant or restaurants you are interested in.

Once you have selected the locality, there is now the ability to list food facilities by the first letter of the establishment's name.

If you have questions or comments, you can send an E-Mail to the Virginia Department of Health
